Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. If you do have a family physician, OBGYN, midwife, or nurse practitioner, please have them send a referral to the office.  Otherwise, you can call the office directly to set-up an appointment (even if you don't have a doctor).

What is the cost?

Your visits will be covered by OHIP – there is no cost to you. However, just like any other physician's office in Ontario, there may be additional fees for uninsured services (ex: forms, no-show fees).

Do you offer in person or virtual appointments?

Both! Please note that due to regulations set out by the Ministry of Health, some of our visits may need to be in person. You will be notified at the time of booking whether video or in-person is an option for you. Please be aware that our building is currently under construction, and lacks a functioning elevator/washroom facilities. Video appointments will be available to those who would be unable to access care due to these limitations.

Can you see me for other mental health concerns?

Due to a focused area of clinical expertise and limited appointment availability, Dr. Stark does not treat other forms of non-reproductive related trauma or mental health disorders (ex: C-PTSD, borderline personality disorder, OCD, etc.). If you have other mental health concerns that you are seeking support for, please search for a qualified practitioner at Psychology Today.

On occasion, when we start doing trauma work for the first time (after a difficult birth or other inciting event), we uncover other forms of older trauma that requires additional treatment support. In these circumstances we can work together to find a practitioner who can continue your care.

How can I see you for pregnancy care or gynecology concerns?

Prenatal and gynecology patients are seen through Collingwood Women's Health Clinic. Please visit the website here for further information.
